Are You Team Tesla Model S Or Mercedes-AMG?

You either like electric cars or you don’t. Either way you probably like watching them up against their combustion engine performance vehicle competitors. And while it’s not really a huge surprise to see the two go head-to-head anymore it doesn’t mean it’s no longer fun to watch. So Top Gear matched up another lineup for us to indulge in.

In this video they bring a Tesla Model S P100D and a Mercedes-AMG E63S togethr to see which is the superior vehicle. And so you know the numbers going into the match, the Model S comes equipped with 791 pound-feet of torque and goes from 0 to 60 in just 2.7 seconds Meanwhile the E63S houses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 however, it still trails with 627 lb-ft and a 3.4-second 0-60 time. So it’s not really a surprise how this match-up ends, but hey, there’s always a catch.

It may make you ICE-fans happy that the Tesla driver seems to have difficulties getting all-electric Model S to switch on, while the E63S is happily sitting idle at the start lin. So at the end of the day, which side are you on? Embracing the silent, electric vehicles and their power? Or staying strictly with gas-guzzling, internal combustion motors?
