Beast Porsche 911 Turbo S Runs An 8-Second Quarter Mile
It’s no secret that Porsche 911 Turbo S’s are quick cars. They can hit 0-60 in only 2.5 seconds, so it’s safe to say they’re already taking home wins from the drag strip. But for some people, there’s always more speed and power to be had. And YouTube channel Ekanoo Racing wasn’t happy with that time so they took their 911 Turbo S to Esmotor, a Turkish engineer crew. And they got the job done to say the least.
Check this out. MotorTrend reports the car will soon put out 1,073 horsepower and 1,028 lb.-ft. of torque at the wheels and 1,200 horsepower at the crank. So naturally, they took this beast to the drag strip to beat some records. They managed to run an 8.99-second ¼ mile pass at 160 mph. Not only is that world record for the 911, but it also makes it the first PDK-equipped car to run under 9-seconds in the quarter mile. It’s a pretty impressive run!
