Car Explosions From The Movies DO Happen
Why our job is more dangerous than ever, what was once a simple car fire can now hide a whole host of dangers #LPG #Hybrids pic.twitter.com/Ej6uWZuqaB

We’ve posted a lot of car crash videos. And several of them end in the vehicle going up in flames. Not the “Oh my god, that looks right out of a movie” kind of explosion but a small, gradual car fire. But this time, the Walney firefighters got more than a typical car fire.
What makes the big explosion and BOOM you hear is the LPG (pressurized liquified petroleum) that fuels the car. That’s why you don’t see the big scene if there’s a car fire on the side of the interstate. These firefighters were pretty lucky they were far enough away by the time this car blew. So the moral of the story is although there’s new technology that’s improving some parts of the automotive world, there are clearly other areas that will have to be taken into consideration. Like pretty decent explosions that can potentially harm people.
