What Rough Luck At The Track Looks Like
If you think you’ve ever had a crazy day, take a look at Top Fuel drag racer, Steve Torrence’s latest race day. It’s definitely both his lucky and unlucky day at the same time. Lucky, because he walked away from these events (and unhurt on top of that) but unlucky because just about everything that could’ve gone wrong, did.
Steve started the day as the NHRA Top Fuel points leader (lucky) but crossed the finish line of his first run on fire and sideways (unlucky). He lost his left rear tire and flew into the wall, which sent him across tumbling the drag strip in two pieces. He still walked away unhurt and with the win. So all in all, you could say that’s a crazy, but not atypical, day at the track. Crashes happen, right?
But it didn’t stop there! In the following race, his backup car exploded and he lost the semifinal to Brittany Force. Talk about a rough day! We’re just glad he was okay after the whole thing and was able to tell this insane chain of events.
