PAINT WORK WE WENT TOTAL OLD SCHOOL WITH WHITE WALLS AND FRONT HUB CAPS. OUR FRIENDS WILL AND HOMER HUDSON USED THEIR UPHOLSTERY SKILLS TO CREATE A RETRO RED INTERIOR FOR US COMPLETE WITH ROLLED AND TUCKED SEATS. AND ALL THAT STEEL'S GONNA BE PUSHED DOWN THE ROAD BY

A FIRE BREATHING FLAT HEAD VEIGHT BUILT BY THE GUYS DOWN AT ENGINE POWER. AND SINCE YOU LAST SAW IT WE FINISHED THE FUEL SYSTEM WITH A 304 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL FUEL TANK FROM ROCK VALLEY. THIS THING IS FULLY BAFFLED, COMPLETELY TIG WELDED, AND DESIGNED TO MOUNT UP JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL. SPEAKING OF FIRE BREATHING WE'VE BEEN DYING TO USE THIS OLD CAR TO TRY OUT A HOT ROD TRICK THAT ALWAYS GETS EYE GRABBING ATTENTION. I MEAN ANYBODY CAN STAND OUT IN A CROWD OF CARS WITH THIS KIND OF FIREPOWER. WELL TODAY WE'RE GONNA GET A LITTLE WILD AND TURN THIS FORD INTO A FLAME THROWER. (MARC)>> WELL YOU CAN START WITH A FLAME THROWER KIT LIKE THIS ONE WE GOT FROM HOT LICKS. SO AT THE HEART OF THE KIT ARE THESE FLAME CONTROL MODULES, WHICH WILL SEND SPARK THROUGH THESE IGNITION WIRES TO THE SPARK PLUGS, WHICH WILL MOUNT IN THESE BUNGS IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. USING THE WIRE PROVIDED, WE'LL WIRE IT UP TO THIS MICRO SWITCH, WHICH WILL MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN. THE KIT ALSO COMES WITH A PAIR OF REGULAR OLD SPARK PLUGS, WHICH ARE PREGAPPED TO OPTIMIZE THE IGNITION OF THE PASSING FUEL.

(JOE)>> NOW THE WAY THAT KIT WORKS IS YOU TAKE EACH SPARK PLUG AND INSTALL IT IN THE EXHAUST EIGHT TO

10 INCHES FROM THE TIP. THE WAY IT WORKS IS YOU HIT THE SWITCH INSIDE THE CAR AND THE 12 VOLT SPARK, INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE ENGINE, GOES TO THAT MODULE. IT PUSHES UNBURNED FUEL THROUGH THE EXHAUST AND WHEN IT HITS THIS YOU'VE GOT FLAMES.

(JOE)>> WELL NEXT WE WANT TO USE THIS WIRE TO CONNECT THE PLUG TO THE MODULE. WE GOT A SPADE CONNECTOR FOR THE MODULE AND THIS BLUE EYELET FOR THE SPARK PLUG. OH HERE'S SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT. THE TIPS OF MOST STANDARD SPARK PLUGS ARE THREADED. SO THIS CAP CAN COME OFF. THIS IS THE WAY PLUG WIRES WERE INSTALLED IN THE OLD OLD DAYS BUT ALSO WORKS FOR FLAME THROWERS. HOW ABOUT THAT?

(MARC)>> WITH THE PLUGS INSTALLED WE CAN HOOK THEM UP TO THE MODULE. THEN WITH THE GROUND HOOKED UP, SPLICE IN THE HOT WIRE. AFTER THAT WE'LL RUN IT ALL THE WAY UP TO THE FRONT AND USE SOME LOOM TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE.

POST OF THE SWITCH. NOW WE'VE GOT TO MAKE TWO MORE CIRCUIT CONNECTIONS THAT'S GONNA INTERRUPT OUR SIGNAL THAT ACTUALLY

LET'S OUR ENGINE RUN. THE WAY THIS WORKS IS THAT YOU TAKE THE HOT WIRE FROM YOUR COIL AND REROUTE IT TO THE INTERRUPTER SWITCH. THEN YOU RUN ANOTHER WIRE FROM THE SWITCH BACK TO THE COIL. MOST OF THE TIME THIS ALLOWS THE COIL

TO OPERATE NORMALLY. BUT ONCE YOU PRESS THE SWITCH IT REDIRECTS THE POWER FROM THE COIL BACK TO THE EXHAUST. VIOLA, FLAMES OUT THE TAIL PIPE.
