(ANNOUNCER)>> TODAY WE'RE GOING TO THE GOOD GUYS

NASHVILLE ANNUAL CAR SHOW AND AUTO CROSS TO CHECK OUT ALL THE COOL TRUCKS, NEW PRODUCTS, AND DEALS IN THE SWAP MEET. THEN WE'RE TAKING OUR TURN ON THE AUTO CROSS COURSE WITH A FRIENDLY LITTLE CHALLENGE BETWEEN OUR HOSTS. IT'S ALL TODAY HERE ON TRUCKS.

(KEVIN)>> HEY WELCOME TO TRUCKS AND WELCOME TO THE SEVENTH ANNUAL GOOD GUYS NASHVILLE NATIONALS IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, AT LP FIELD. THERE'S A TON OF AFTERMARKET VENDORS. THERE'S GAMES, THERE'S FOOD, AND THERE'S A GIANT SWAP MEET. BUT A STATIC CAR SHOW IS NOT JUST WHAT THIS EVENT IS ABOUT. THERE'S A LOT GOING ON.

THE NASHVILLE NATIONALS GETS BIGGER AND BETTER EVERY YEAR.

AND SINCE GOOD GUYS HAS EXPANDED THEIR YEAR RANGE, THERE'S AN UNBELIEVABLE VARIETY OF VEHICLES ON DISPLAY.

(ED)>> SEVENTH YEAR WE'VE BEEN HERE AT THIS BEAUTIFUL LP FIELD. I MEAN IT'S A GREAT PLACE.

A LOT SPECTATORS, A LOT OF CARS THAT COME HERE. I MEAN WE HAVE STUFF FOR THE KIDS AS FAR AS PUTTING MODELS TOGETHER. WE HAVE FACE PAINTING, WE HAVE COLORING CONTESTS. AND THEN OF COURSE THE GUY'S GOT THE SWAP MEET, AND THE

AUTO CROSS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE. AND IT'S ACTION, THERE'S MOVEMENT AT OUR EVENTS. IT'S NOT JUST SITTING IN A LAWN CHAIR, YOU KNOW, WATCHING YOUR CAR, IT'S MOVEMENT.

(KEVIN)>> THESE GUYS THAT KNOW ME KNOW THAT I'M A BIT OF A FORD FREAK. MY UNCLE HERB HAD A '66 FORD PICK UP WHEN I WAS GROWING UP AND I LOVED THAT TRUCK. SO THIS THING CAUGHT MY EYE RIGHT AWAY. BUT WHAT REALLY SUCKED ME IN WAS THE TWIN TURBOS HANGING OFF THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK. THIS TRUCK IS COOL.

(JASON)>> IT'S A DART BLOCK, 353 CUBIC INCHES, SIX SPEED, STANDARD BORG WARNER TRANSMISSION, 456 GEARS, AND 29 INCH TALL TIRE MAKES A GREAT COMBINATION FOR WHEN YOU GET INTO SIXTH GEAR, YOU CAN DRIVE IT ON THE INTERSTATE.

YOU'VE GOT GREAT GAS MILEAGE, AND THEN DROP IT ON DOWN AND WAKE THE WORLD UP.

(KEVIN)>> NOW IT'S NOT JUST CLASSIC STREET RODS AND VINTAGE PICK UPS HERE. WE'VE GOT BIG RIGS AT GOOD GUYS AS WELL. NOT EXACTLY BIG RIGS, IT'S A BIG BLOCK AND IT STARTED OUT AS A PICK UP CHASSIS WITH A BIG RIG FIBERGLASS BODY ON IT, AND OF COURSE THE CAB. WHATEVER IT IS, IT'S COOL.

(RYAN)>> YOU SURE YOU WANT ME TO SCRIBBLE ON THIS THING? ( )>> THAT'S FINE MAN.

(RYAN)>> LOOKS LIKE A BRAND NEW SHIRT, I'M GOING TO RUIN IT.

(KEVIN)>> THIS ALSO GIVES US THE CHANCE TO HANG OUT WITH SOME FELLOW GEAR HEADS AND CATCH UP WITH SOME PEOPLE THAT ENJOY WATCHING THE SHOW.

(RYAN)>> THERE YOU GO MAN, NO SWEAT MAN,

THANKS FOR WATCHING. YOU TOO, YEAH MAN!

(KEVIN)>> PROJECT CLASSIX WASN'T THE FIRST AND ITS

CERTAINLY NOT GOING TO BE THE LAST VEHICLE TO WEAR A PATINA OR FAUXTINA FINISH.

(CLAY)>> I HAD A FRIEND THAT HAD A SIGN COMPANY MAKE THE MASK FOR US. AND THEN RON AND I GOT UP IN HIS GARAGE WITH

OVERLAYS AND A RATTLE CAN. FOR THREE OR FOUR RATTLE CANS MADE THE LOGO. AND THEN RON CAME BACK AND PUT HIS PATINA TOUCH TO IT. IT TURNED OUT REALLY COOL.

(KEVIN)>> AT THE VENDORS MIDWAY WE RAN INTO A BUNCH OF FOLKS THAT WE WORK WITH ON THE POWERBLOCK, LIKE WOODWARD FAB,

CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS, FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS, HURST SHIFTERS, AND MANY MORE.

AND JUST LIKE IN THE SWAP MEET, IF YOU TRY REAL HARD,

YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO DICKER'EM DOWN AND GET A REALLY GREAT DEAL. OUR FRIENDS FROM PPG HAD A GREAT DISPLAY OF CUSTOM COLORS AND WERE READY AND WILLING TO LEND A HAND AND GIVE A LITTLE GUIDANCE.

(DAVID)>> MOST TIMES WE'RE LOOKING FOR COLORS, TRYING TO

MATCH EITHER INTERIORS THAT THEY'VE ALREADY SELECTED, JUST TRYING TO MAKE A DECISION. IT'S ONE OF THE TOUGHEST THINGS TO PICK OUT.

(RYAN)>> NOW HERE AT THE CAR CORRAL YOU CAN FIND JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. THEY'VE GOT TRIKES, BARE FRAMES, OR MOST OF A 1930

CHEVY BODY AND FRAME THAT'LL KEEP YOU BUSY FOR A LONG, LONG TIME. OR INSTEAD OF GOING THAT ROUTE YOU CAN BUY SOMEBODY'S ALREADY

COMPLETED PROJECT, LIKE THIS SUPER CLEAN BIG BLOCK CHEVY SPORT TRUCK THAT'S GOING FOR LESS THAN $9,000. OR YOU CAN GO MORE OF THE CLASSIC ROUTE LIKE THIS GREEN AND WHITE FORD. EITHER WAY, THEY'D BOTH LOOK GREAT SITTING IN THE SHOP AND I DON'T THINK YOU CAN GO WRONG.

(KEVIN)>> AND EVEN IF YOU DO ALREADY HAVE A PROJECT VEHICLE, THE SWAP MEET IS CHALK FULL OF HARD TO FIND AUTOMOTIVE TREASURES. NOW HERE'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. OUR BUDDY BOB'S EVEN GOT IT LABELED. TURN YOUR THREE WINDOW CAB INTO A FIVE WINDOW CAB JUST LIKE WE DID WITH PROJECT CLASSIX. YOU CAN USE THE CORNERS HERE OR THE WHOLE TOP OF THE CAB, AND THIS IS ORIGINAL SHEET METAL. CHECK IT OUT, $75 BUCKS. WE DID OURS WITH AFTERMARKET, YOU'VE GOT THIS OPTION TOO. YOU CAN BUILD A TRUCK JUST FROM THE SWAP MEET.

(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCKS AND THE AUTO CROSS HERE AT THE SEVENTH ANNUAL GOOD GUYS NATIONALS HERE IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. NOW THE CAR CORRAL, THE VENDOR MIDWAY, AND THE SWAP MEET, THEY'RE ALL VERY COOL, BUT OUR FAVORITE PART BY FAR IS THE AUTO CROSS WITH THE TIRES SQUEALING AND THE THUMPING ENGINES.

NOW SINCE GOOD GUYS ALLOWS JUST ABOUT ANY STREET VEHICLE

ON THE AUTO CROSS COURSE ON THE LAST DAY OF THE EVENT, WE

THOUGHT WE'D BRING OUT OUR LATE MODEL GMC AND SEE HOW IT COULD DO. EVEN THOUGH IT IS MOSTLY STOCK, A SIMPLE LOWERING KIT, A SET OF SHOCKS, AND SOME 20 INCH TIRES AND WHEELS. NOW IT DID END UP BEING A PRETTY CLOSE RACE BETWEEN MYSELF AND OFFICER TETZ.

(KEVIN)>> NOW DESPITE BEING IN THE SAME VEHICLE ON THE SAME

TRACK FIVE MINUTES APART, MY GROSS INABILITY TO SETTLE THE VEHICLE COST ME A COUPLE OF SECONDS. ALL JOKING ASIDE, OUR MOSTLY STOCK TRUCK DID OKAY. WE MANAGED TO MANAGE THE PLOWING FRONT END.

(ROB)>> WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE LOSER'S TIMES?

(CHAD)>> DUDE I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT EITHER ONE OF THESE MONKEYS ACTUALLY MADE IT AROUND THE TRACK THAT GOOD IN THAT TRUCK.

(RYAN)>> YEAH, IT WAS TOUGH MAINTAINING SPEED AND GETTING THE TRUCK TO TURN IN WITH SUCH PUSH IN THE FRONT END. BUT THAT'S WHY GUYS SPEND SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT IMPROVING THEIR VEHICLE'S SUSPENSION AND GETTING THEM TO HANDLE WITH MORE PRECISION. OURS IS JUST FUN TO DRIVE THOUGH.

AND DESPITE SPINNING THE REAR TIRES QUITE A BIT, I MANAGED TO PICK UP A LITTLE BIT OF TIME ON THIS RUN. I THOUGHT FOR SURE I LOST A COUPLE OF SECONDS.

(KEVIN)>> HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. IT'S KINDA PISSING ME OFF.

BUT OF COURSE HE'S GOT THE LICENSE, I DON'T.

THE GOOD THING ABOUT AUTO CROSS IS THAT YOU'RE RACING YOURSELF. I'M NOT RACING RYAN SHAND, I'M RACING KEVIN TETZ, AND I KNOW THAT I SUCK. SO I'M EASY TO BEAT.

(RYAN)>> GOOD LUCK!

(KEVIN)>> NOW IF YOU'RE AT AN AUTO CROSS AND YOU THROW A

ROCK, YOU'RE GONNA HIT BRIAN FINCH, WHO BROUGHT OUT THIS COOL '66 C-10 THAT HE'S PREPPED ESPECIALLY FOR AUTO CROSSING. THIS TRUCK HAS A WICKED 383 AND A FIVE SPEED WITH A PARTICULARLY PICKY SHIFTER I MIGHT SAY. FINCH WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO GIVE US SOME SEAT TIME AND ENDED UP BEING THE JUDGE AS TO WHO HAD THE BETTER RUN. AND LIKE I SAID BEFORE, THE MERCILESS SHIFTER FORCED ME TO TRY AND START OFF IN FIFTH GEAR.

(RYAN)>> NOW THIS OLD PICK UP TRUCK CLEARLY HANDLED BETTER THAN OUR NEW PICK UP TRUCK, AND HANDLED SURPRISINGLY WELL FOR SOMETHING THAT WEIGHS OVER 5,000 POUNDS. IT ALSO HAD PLENTY OF TORQUE ON HAND TO MOTIVATE IT BETWEEN THE CONES.

(KEVIN)>> NOW ONCE I STOPPED LOOKING AT THE SHIFT PATTERN AND UP THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AND THE COURSE, I ACTUALLY HAD A PRETTY GOOD RUN. BUT WITH AN AUTO CROSS THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN BUY BACK THAT KIND OF TIME ONCE YOU LOSE A FEW SECONDS IN THE HEAD. SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST PRACTICE FOR THE NEXT ROUND.

(RYAN)>> AND GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE. WHAT ARE OUR GRADES?

(BRIAN)>> ALRIGHT, I'VE GOT TO SAY RYAN, APLUS, HANDS DOWN. THAT MAN CAN WHEEL THAT TRUCK. YOU KNOW, HE'S GOT THE BEST TOOL IN THE TOOL BOX, BUT MAN, HE CAN DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. KEVIN, I THINK HE'S GONNA HAVE TO GO TO SUMMER SCHOOL CAUSE I'M GONNA GIVE HIM AN "F".

(KEVIN)>> I'VE GOT TO LEARN THE GEAR PATTERN RIGHT? OKAY, SO DRIVING TIPS.

(BRIAN)>> FIRST IS IN THE SAME PLACE FOR EVERY CAR BROTHER.

(KEVIN)>> I WAS LOOKING FOR "D", I COULDN'T FIND "D". THAT MEANS DRIVE FORWARD RIGHT?

(BRIAN)>> I TELL YOU WHAT WE'LL DO. WE'LL TRY TO GET YOU ANOTHER SHOT AT IT. WE'LL TRY TO GET YOUR MAN CARD BACK TO YOU SOMETIME BY THE END OF THE DAY.

(KEVIN)>> MY MAN CARD HAS BEEN YANKED TWICE. I SAID A DASH BOARD WAS PRETTY, HE YANKED MY CARD, THAT WAS IT.

(BRIAN)>> CUT!

(RYAN)>> HE'LL TRY TO EARN IT BACK LATER.

(KEVIN)>> HEY WELCOME BACK. WELL IT'S NO SECRET THAT PROJECT ROLLING THUNDER IS NEAR AND DEAR TO US HERE AT THE TRUCKS SHOP. AND LETS FACE IT, WE'RE NEVER GONNA GET THE CHANCE TO BUILD ANOTHER MUSTANG ON THE TRUCKS SHOW BECAUSE ESSENTIALLY THAT'S WHAT THIS THING IS. IT'S GOT THE MUSTANG COBRA SUPERCHARGED FOURSIX, THE T-56 SIX SPEED ALTHOUGH IT'S BEEFED UP, FORD IRS OUT OF AN '04 COBRA IN THE BACK. ESSENTIALLY IT'S GOT ALL THE COMPONENTS OF A SUPERCHARGED MUSTANG COBRA, WHICH AS YOU GUYS KNOW ARE NEARLY BULLETPROOF WITH THE BENEFIT OF BEING 600 POUNDS LIGHTER WITH A BETTER WEIGHT BALANCE. BUT WE'VE DONE SOME STUFF OFF CAMERA THAT WE WANTED TO SHOW YOU BECAUSE THE THINGS THAT WE'VE DONE ARE BOTH INTEGRAL TO THE DESIGN AND THE FUNCTION OF THIS TRUCK. NOW THE MOST OBVIOUS THING THAT YOU'RE GONNA NOTICE RIGHT AWAY ARE THE DOWN BARS AND THE XBRACE THAT TIE THE CAB'S ROLL CAGE INTO THE CHASSIS. WE'VE GOT A REMOVABLE LINK HERE AND A CAPTURED NUT AND A BOLT HOLE HERE IN CASE THIS PIECE EVER HAS TO COME OUT FOR MAINTENANCE OR TO PULL THE BED OFF FOR WHATEVER REASON. AND THIS IS GOING TO STIFFEN THIS TRUCK UP, AS IF IT ALREADY DIDN'T HAVE THAT GOING FOR IT WITH A FULLY BOXED FRAME. THE OTHER THING THAT YOU NOTICE RIGHT AWAY ARE THESE. THESE ARE THE UPPER SHOCK MOUNTS FOR THE RIDE TECH COIL OVERS. NOW WE'RE GOING TO PULL THE BED OFF AND SHOW YOU A LITTLE MORE DETAIL WITH THOSE IN A MINUTE. THE OTHER THING WE'VE DONE IS OBVIOUSLY WE'VE RELOCATED THE ORIGINAL FUEL DOOR FROM THE BED SIDE DOWN INTO THE BED FLOOR. NOW THIS IS A TRICK LITTLE SET UP HERE. NICE LITTLE FILLER CAP AND IT SEALS TO THE TANK NECK WITH AN ORING SEAL. RIGHT UNDER HERE IS OUR RICK'S TANK, SO THIS GIVES US A DISCRETE LOCATION. IT'S ALSO SAFE. NOW YOU'VE ALSO NOTICED THAT THERE'S DZUS FASTENERS ALL

THE WAY AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THIS BED. SO IT'S PRETTY CLEAR THAT WE'VE GOT SOME KIND OF A

TONNEAU COVER OVER TOP OF THIS FOR AERODYNAMICS AND QUITE FRANKLY SOME AESTHETICS, BUT WE DIDN'T WANT TO GET A BIG, HEAVY FIBERGLASS UNIT TO GO ON HERE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. AND WE DIDN'T WANT TO SPRING FOR A LIGHT WEIGHT CARBON FIBER ONE. SO WE BUILT ONE.

WE'RE GONNA SHOW YOU HOW WE DID IT HERE IN JUST A LITTLE BIT, BUT FOR NOW LETS TAKE A LOOK UNDERNEATH THIS THING.

THESE ARE RIDE TECH'S TRIPLE ADJUSTABLE COIL OVERS. WE'VE GOT THEM AT ALL FOUR CORNERS.

THEY FEATURE A SINGLE REBOUND ADJUSTMENT AND A DUAL STAGE HIGH AND LOW SPEED COMPRESSION ADJUSTMENT. THEY'RE CONNECTED FROM THE SHOCK BODY WITH A 30 INCH BRAIDED LINE TO THE REMOTE RESERVOIR FOR EASY PLACEMENT, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY EASY TRACK SIDE ADJUSTMENT. NOW RYAN HAS ALREADY WALKED YOU GUYS THROUGH EVERY ASPECT OF CHOOSING THE CORRECT COIL OVER SETUP FOR YOUR VEHICLE, BUT JUST IN CASE YOU DON'T WANT TO DO ALL THAT MATH OR YOU JUST WANT TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CALCULATIONS, RIDE TECH'S

GOT A GREAT SPRING RATE CALCULATOR ON THEIR WEBSITE. CHECK THEM OUT AT RIDE TECH DOT COM. RIGHT HERE WE'VE RELOCATED THE SUPERCHARGER'S COOLANT RESERVOIR FROM INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO BACK HERE, OBVIOUSLY FOR WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION. NOW WE HAD HECTOR AND THE GUYS AT RICK'S HOT RODS BUILD US THIS CUSTOM ALUMINUM TANK FOR EXTRA COOLANT CAPACITY. NOW THIS IS TYPICALLY WHAT A SUPERCHARGED FOURSIX RUNS FOR THE SUPERCHARGER RESERVOIR FOR THE CHARGE COOLER. THIS IS A BOSCH PUMP AND IT FLOWS GREAT FOR A STOCK APPLICATION BUT IT'S ONLY ABOUT FOUR GALLONS PER MINUTE. WHAT WE'VE GOT PLUMBED IN RIGHT HERE IS THIS GUY. THIS IS FROM MEZERE ENTERPRISES AND IT FLOWS AN

AMAZING 20 GALLONS PER MINUTE. SO WITH THE EXTRA FLOW RATE, THE EXTRA CAPACITY, COMBINED WITH THE FACT THAT NOW OUR COOLANT LINES THEMSELVES ACT AS A COOLING DEVICE, WE HAVE VIRTUALLY ELIMINATED ANY KIND OF HEAT SOAK THAT IS COMMON WITH THESE FOURSIX SUPERCHARGED ENGINES.

(KEVIN)>> HEY, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCKS. WELL TODAY WE'RE GIVING YOU A LITTLE BIT OF A TOUR OF SOME OF THE PROGRESS THAT WE HAVE MADE ON ROLLING THUNDER SINCE YOU SAW IT LAST, CHECK THIS OUT. NOW MOST OF THE CABLING AND CONNECTIONS ARE ALREADY MADE. THIS IS ALMOST READY FOR A FIRE UP, BUT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE AIR INTAKE TUBE. THIS IS PARTS FROM SPECTRA PERFORMANCE BECAUSE WE'VE GOT A CUSTOM APPLICATION, WE NEEDED TO MAKE OUR OWN. BUT WHAT I WANTED YOU TO SEE IS THE BRACKET HOLDING UP THE PRO AM AIR METER. THIS IS BENT FLAT STOCK ALUMINUM TIED TO THE APRON AND COATED IN VHT WRINKLE BLACK. NOW KEEPING WITH THE MUSTANG THEME, OUR GRIFFIN RADIATOR IS ACTUALLY MADE FOR A '68 MUSTANG AND SHOULD BE PLENTY ENOUGH TO COOL THIS BAD BOY, BUT HERE'S THE IMPORTANT THING. THE FACTORY PURGE VALVE IS HIGHER THAN THE FILL NECK OF THE GRIFFIN RADIATOR, AND THIS WILL ALLOW US TO PURGE THE AIR OUT OF THIS SYSTEM. NOW THIS WILL SHOW YOU EXACTLY HOW OUR BRAKE COOLING DUCT SYSTEM WORKS.

IT COMES FROM THE AIR INLET IN THE SNUGGLE BUMPER UP THROUGH THE AGENT 47 HOSE RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF THE BRAKE ROTOR, KEEPING THINGS COOL. NOW WE TALKED ABOUT THE TONNEAU COVER THAT WE MADE FOR THE BED OF THIS TRUCK. I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE COVER BUT I ALSO WANT TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE IT. THIS IS THE CUSTOM TONNEAU COVER THAT WE MADE FOR ROLLING THUNDER. IT'S MADE OUT OF SOME FLAT STOCK 011 SHEET ALUMINUM THAT WE HAD KICKING AROUND AND SOME DZUS FASTENERS. AND IT'S LIGHT AND STRONG, EASY TO MAKE. NOW ALUMINUM IS A PERFECT MATERIAL FOR THIS BECAUSE IT'S LIGHT, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME OR ADD A LOT OF WEIGHT MAKING SOME CRAZY BRACES. AND AS YOU SEE, ALUMINUM BY ITSELF, IT'S PRETTY FLEXIBLE. HOWEVER, WITH A SIMPLE 90 DEGREE BEND BECOMES VERY STRONG. SO THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE DID. NOW THE DZUS FASTENERS SCREAM RACE CAR, AND THEY'RE VERY EASY TO PLACE AND TO USE. HERE'S A GOOD WAY TO MARK THEM.

NOW WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO DRILL THE HOLE FOR THE TOP PART OF THE CLAMP. USING A CENTER PUNCH FOR ACCURACY, WE'RE USING AN

EIGHTH INCH DRILL BIT TO MAKE A PILOT HOLE. FOLLOWING THAT WITH A STEP DRILL JUST CAUSE THEY'RE FUN. NOW WE'RE LOCATING THE RIVET HOLES FROM THE BOTTOM SIDE ON THE DZUS FASTENER. WORKING FROM THE BOTTOM SIMPLY GIVES US A WORK SURFACE THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT. WE'RE NOT GOING TO MARR THE TOP, WHICH IS

THE VISIBLE PART. ON THE TOP SIDE I'M CAREFULLY DEBURRING THE OPENING AND

CHAMFERING THE HOLE WITH ANOTHER STEP DRILL. THE EIGHTH INCH HOLES MATCH THE SHANK OF THE RIVET AND IT'S PRETTY MUCH SELF EXPLANATORY FROM HERE. WE'RE JUST RIVETING, BUT WHAT WE END UP IS A NICE, PROFESSIONAL LOOKING FLUSH FIT ON THE FASTENER.

AND NOW THAT YOU KNOW YOU'VE GOT GREAT ALIGNMENT, JUST TWIST IT, LOCK IT DOWN, AND READY TO GO. THE ONLY OTHER THING I WANTED TO SHOW WAS HOW WE GOT THE FINISH. NOW THE FIRST STEP IS WITH 180 GRIT SAND PAPER, AND WHAT WE'RE DOING IS SCRATCHING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP IT IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THIS SOFT ALUMINUM REALLY PICKS UP THE PATTERN. IT DOESN'T TAKE ANY TIME AT ALL. NOW THE NEXT STEP IS TAKING A RED SCUFFING PAD AND RUNNING

OVER THE TOP OF THE 180 GRIT SCRATCHES, KEEP BLENDING THIS IN. THAT SOFTENS IT UP. NOW WHAT YOU END UP WITH QUICKLY IS A BRUSHED SATIN FINISH THAT IS SUPER EASY TO DO, AND IF YOU EVER HAVE TO REPAIR IT, IT'S EASY TO REPAIR. THE LAST THING I DID WAS TO CREATE A LOCATING PIN SO THIS THING DOESN'T MOVE FROM SIDE TO SIDE. NOW YOU MIGHT RECOGNIZE THESE. THESE ARE JUST OFF THE SHELF CHROME HOOD PINS FROM MISTER GASKET. AND ALTHOUGH IT'S NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL USE FOR A CHROME HOOD PIN, IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR THIS COVER. SO THANK YOU MISTER GASKET. NOW A SET OF HEADERS IS A PROVEN PERFORMANCE UPGRADE, BUT SOMETIMES THAT CAN LEAD TO A MORE DIFFICULT TIME CHANGING YOUR SPARK PLUGS. WELL ACCEL'S GOT A GREAT SOLUTION. THEIR SHORTY HEADER PLUGS MAKE IT EASIER TO INSTALL THE PLUGS AROUND THE PRIMARY TUBES AND PULL THE BOOTS DOWN AWAY FROM THE PRIMARY TUBES THEMSELVES. NOW THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PLUG DOESN'T CHANGE A BIT, BUT THE PORCELAIN IS OBVIOUSLY SHORTER, GIVING YOU MORE CLEARANCE. SO IF YOU'RE TIRED OF MAKING SPECIAL TOOLS, BREAKING OFF SPARK PLUGS, OR BURNING YOUR PLUG WIRE BOOTS, A SET OF ACCEL HEADER PLUGS MAY SOLVE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. THEY'RE AVAILABLE AT ALMOST EVERY AUTOMOTIVE RETAILER.

THANKS FOR WATCHING TRUCKS, SEE YOU GUYS NEXT TIME.
