There are always kinks to work out with any new model, no matter the automaker. So it’s with no exception the C8 Corvette has it’s first defect.

Facebook user Seth Lewis posted in the C8 Corvette Owners (and Friends) group to post his findings. Apparently, when opening the driver-side door all the way, a screw comes through the fender and chips the paint on the edge of the door.

Chipped paint isn’t exactly what you want to see on your two-week-old car. The problem reached the Corvette Forum where another C8 owner saif they also found the same problem.
It’s speculated that the issue not to be a design or engineering flaw but an early assembly problem, being that it’s an isolated issue.
