A Husband And Wife Head To The 1/4-Mile To Race Dodge Charger And Challenger Hellcats

Nothing adds excitement to a relationship like a little healthy competition. Especially when you can take it to the race track. This husband and wife took their Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats and went head-to-head in a series of drag races.

With both vehicles being Hellcats it should technically be a somewhat close matchup. Both cars are powered by the same 6.2-L supercharged V8 which normally produces 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque but the original video states that each Hellcat has been given an E85 racing fuel tune putting out around 750 hp.

They also share the same 8-speed automatic, brakes, and several interior components. They do differ when it comes to weight however, the Challenger weighing less than the Charger.

If you didn’t watch the video, both cars start out well but the Challenger manages to get about a half-car length ahead. The final time for the Challenger Hellcat was 10.39 seconds at 134.58 mph, while the Charger Hellcat finished in 10.79 seconds at 134.54 mph. Check out the video to see the subsequent runs!
