A Stock Chevy Corvette ZR1 Opens It Up, Hits 214 MPH on Space Shuttle Runway
Check out this 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 absolutely blistering down a space shuttle runway. The team behind the Corvette originally said the ZR1 would be capable of hitting 210 mph. And they weren’t wrong. It’s already been shown that the ZR1 can run zero to 60 mph in 2.85-seconds with a 192 mph in a standing mile. Even still, Chevy only officially lists 212 mph as a top speed.
But now, the ZR1 showed off a little more at The Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds at Space Florida’s Shuttle Landing Facility. The facility contains a runway that’s three miles long and 100 yards wide.
