After All The Hype The Dodge Demon Is Finally Here

Dodge has been releasing small videos with hints of information about the Challenger SRT Demon for weeks. But it’s finally here. And we have all the information on it. The Demon puts out 840 horsepower and 770 lb.-ft. of torque from a supercharged 6.2-liter hemi V8. That makes it the most powerful muscle car ever. It’s also the highest horsepower V8 engine ever put in a production car.

Other accomplishments for the Demon are the first ever front-wheel lift in a production car, world’s fastest quarter-mile with a time of 9.65 seconds at 140 miles per hour. It’s so fast in fact that NHRA banned it from the drag strip. It can hit 0-60 in 2.3 seconds.

The production of the limited-edition single model year will be available in dealerships this fall and all customers who buy the 2018 SRT Demon get a full-day session at the Bob Bondurant School of High-Performance Driving. Are the numbers what you were hoping for? Would you buy one?
