Apple Sunroof Patent Suggests Possible Electric Car Project
Rumors of Apple producing a car have been circulating since 2016. In what might be the worst-kept secret in the automotive industry, a recent filing for sunroof technology with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under “Apple Inc.” suggests that an Apple Car may indeed be in the near future.
According to the patent, it will have variable opacity glass, which allows the driver and passenger to change the sunroof’s transparency.
Centering their company around personal devices like phones, laptops, and tablets, a car would not be a big stretch of the imagination for the tech titan. Should the rumors be true about Apple producing their own car, it is believed that they would strive to be the main competitor against the reigning EV automaker, Tesla.
