Australia Is Getting A 700 HP Supercharged Mustang R-Spec
Ford is bringing speed to the Australian market. The automaker has unveiled a new 700 hp version of the Mustang for the Australian market.
The R-Spec is a collaboration between Herrod Performance and Ford Performance parts developed in the U.S. which includes the Roush supercharger strapped on a 5.0-liter V8.
The car puts out 610 lb-ft of torque through the 6-speed manual transmission (which is the only option). The pony car also gets an updated suspension with computer-controlled shock absorbers and adjustable stabilizer bars along with a set of high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
There will be 500 of them offered through Ford in a choice of lime, orange white and blue for $100,000 Australian dollars, or $68,000 USD.
