Challenger Hellcat Breaks Free From Dyno, Catches Fire

When there is this much power involved, making sure straps are tightened is key. A broken strap is how this dyno pull ended in smoke and flames.

As to be expected, a 1,000+ horsepower can put out some serious heat. So when the straps broke on this dyno and the Challenger got loose it started to slide sideways which appears to have caused the brake calipers to rub with the wheels and start a fire.

The team was prepared and able to put out the flames fairly quickly. We can imagine the owner of the Challenger was less than thrilled with this situation, though.
