Circuit of The Americas Inviting People to Drive the Track To Raise Money for Food Bank

If driving your car on a track is on your bucket list, now may be your chance.

The Circuit of the Americas racetrack located just outside Austin is opening up to the public this Sunday. People will be given the chance to drive the famous circuit in their own cars. The cost? A donation to a good cause.

COTA and the Central Texas Food Bank have teamed up for the Food Drive to collect donations. While drivers are invited to take part on the track, they will be limited to 20 mph. It’s more for the experience to get on the track and benefit a good cause though in the end.

If you want to take part, you can donate to the food bank online or at COTA, where they can donate cash or non-perishable food items in the circuit’s garages.

The Food Drive takes place between noon and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
