Cop Sings ‘Quarantine Quartet’ To Bring Awareness To Holiday Car Thefts
It’s that time of year again. Unfortunately, with the holiday season comes increased crime…specifically auto theft. And to add to it, this year has quarantine thrown in the mix.
Sgt. Robert Kirby of the LaGrange, GA police department made a video to post to the department’s Facebook page. The video is just Kirby and his one-man “quartet” singing his version of “Quarantine Quartet” to remind people to lock their vehicles to prevent auto thefts.
“We wish you would keep your car locked, we wish you would keep your car locked,” Kirby sings to the tune of “We wish you a Merry Christmas” which transitions to “Blue Christmas.”
Kirby’s main take away tips include:
- Always keep your car door locked.
- Never leave your keys or other valuables inside your car.
- And never, ever leave your car unattended while it’s running.
Kirby has become known for his multi-tracked harmonies and decided to combine his talents (police work and singing) in the best way he knew how. And we have to say, it’s a festive and refreshing reminder. So make your life easier this holiday season and lock up your car.
