Dealership Has 17 Vehicles Stolen 1 Day Before Grand Opening

A Grand Rapids, MI dealership’s opening weekend made the news. But not for the reasons it was hoping.

Authorities are launching an investigation after 17 vehicles were stolen from the Autowest of Grand Rapids dealership. Owner Don Miller said he believes a group of thieves threw rocks through the window of his office, stealing all 60 vehicle keys. Miller said it took him three months to get the inventory for his lot and the total estimated loss is about $300,000.

Unfortunately, security cameras were not recording video at the time of the break-in due to a change in the security system’s WiFi.
