DeLorean Shares New Teaser for Revamped EV

Pop culture has longtime associated the DeLorean with the iconic 1985 film Back to the Future. Ever since it was announced in February 2022, the brand is also returning to the future as a revamped EV sports car.

Since then, DeLorean has released a new teaser video of the upcoming EV which is aimed to be a modern-day version of the DMC 12 model that featured its iconic gullwing doors. In the clip we are shown the new model’s rear end with full-length taillights and a louvred rear window.

DeLorean had previously stated that the EV will be making its return on the Concept Lawn at Pebble Beach on August 18th, 2022. But fans can expect to see its official reveal earlier than expected.

“Excitement is rising like the doors of our iconic sports car, and we are revealing the next generation prototype 3 days earlier than planned on the most prestigious stage at Pebble Beach” says CMO Troy Beetz.
