Detroit Muscle’s Dodge Charger Heads To Mecum Auctions
After three years in the Detroit Muscle shop, Project Hard Charger is finally finished and has made its way to Dallas, TX for the Mecum Auction! Be sure to check out the live stream straight from Dallas to see the Charger cross the auction block Saturday, September 7th at 1:30 pm CT.
When the build started, Marc and Tommy were on the hunt for a certain top-shelf Mopar that they hoped to get in drivable condition for a car show. After they picked up the 1969 Charger, it needed some sheet metal replaced on its 50-year-old body panels.
The transmission was in need of a rebuild so the guys revamped a muscle-era Mopar four-speed. The car also got a rear-end rebuild, a new floor, and custom paint job.
Under the hood, the Charger got a 6.2L Supercharged Crate HEMI® engine. There was a brand-new, custom exhaust system installed and the interior was completely re-done.
Be sure to check out the full build on Detroit Muscle for more info and a complete parts list.
