Dodge Announces the Dodge Hornet: Its Most Powerful Utility Vehicle Ever
Dodge has been hyping up a lot of “buzz” on its social media channels leading up to a big announcement of some kind. It was revealed today that the all-new Dodge Hornet is “Swarming the Nation” in its 90-second commercial.
Flying under the Dodge flag, the Hornet exceeds the brand’s standard of performance by being the fastest, most powerful compact-utility vehicle (CUV) ever made. The all-new Dodge Hornet is sure to disrupt the CUV market by introducing more performance and muscle into the genre.
The new Dodge Hornet R/T performance hybrid is also Dodge’s first vehicle off the production line to utilize electrification as part of its performance abilities. Producing 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, the Dodge Hornet R/T can accelerate 0 to 60 mph is 5.6 seconds, and offers an additional 30 miles of all-electric range with its 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery.

The Dodge Hornet GT is the fully-ICE version that comes equipped with the Hurricane4 engine, which is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder that is able to produce 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, making it Dodge’s fastest and most powerful utility vehicle in its lineup. Best of all, it comes with a starting MSRP of under $30,000.
