Driver Clocked At 192mph On His “Way To Grab Breakfast”
Breakfast sandwiches wait for nobody. Or at least that’s what this 2008 Corvette driver believes.
Early this morning in Snohomish County, Washington police clocked a man behind the wheel of a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette at a whopping 192mph. Trooper Heather Axtman took to Twitter saying a fellow officer first clocked the Corvette on US 2 at 192mph. That’s more than triple the posted 60 mph speed limit!
Before being pulled over, the Corvette exited the highway. Naturally, the officer asked if there was any particular reason to be driving at such speeds to which the driver explained that he was “on his way to breakfast”. It makes sense he was in such a hurry to get some food in his system as he was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Trooper reported that the car in question was a silver 2008 Corvette, though it wasn’t noted which particular trim so speculation leans towards a Z06. Unfortunately, this driver isn’t the first to be busted at ridiculously high speeds.
So as a friendly reminder, although empty roads are tempting, speeds like that need to be taken to the track.
