Video: Driver Unscathed After BMW Smashes Into Tunnel Ceiling

This video captures a terrifying moment for one BMW driver in Slovakia. In the video it shows the car hitting the barrier in a spark-throwing display before launching 20 feet into the ceiling of a tunnel. This happened at the Börik tunnel near Poprad, northeastern Slovakia. Supposedly the driver, 44, fell asleep at the wheel in a ‘microsleep’ that usually lasts about 5-10 seconds. Police gave him a breathalyzer at the scene and was tested negative for alcohol in his system. Watching the video, it’s a miracle that the man didn’t suffer any injuries. The car certainly did.
