Elon Musk Takes To Twitter Saying He Is Selling ‘All Physical Possessions’
Leave it to Telsa CEO, Elon Musk, to go on a wild Twitter rant. It wasn’t the first time and we’re sure it won’t be the last.
This one, however, doesn’t have much to do with his company or cars at all and more of just a general lifestyle rant. Musk Tweeted:
“I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house.”
He went on to say that he thinks Tesla stock is too high, followed up with “Now give people back their FREEDOM.”
Tesla stock plummeted over 10% almost immediately after the online outburst.
Musk came back online to post that he wasn’t selling everything because he needed the money, but that “possession just weigh you down” and that he is devoting himself to Earth and Mars.
The later Tweets can be attributed to Musk’s displeasure Musk with both the global response to the coronavirus pandemic and California’s stay-at-home orders. He called them “fascist” during Tesla’s first-quarter earnings call.
“It’s breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong and not why they came to America or built this country,” Musk said. “What the f–k? Excuse me. Outrage.”
While Musk doesn’t take a salary from Tesla or SpaceX, he is the top shareholder of both companies and has an estimated personal worth of $30-$40 billion.
