Ferrari Owner Wrecks F430 Scuderia Only An Hour After Buying It
Have you ever purchased something pricey and then go on and lose it later that day? It’s honestly the worst. But imagine you drop $288,000 on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and then go crash it an hour later. Makes you cringe, doesn’t it? Well, that’s exactly what happened to a United Kingdom resident. Imagine being that guy and replaying the scenario in your head over and over thinking about what you could have done differently.
The South Yorkshire Police are calling it a “miracle escape”. If you don’t believe it just look at the after photos of the crash. The driver walked away from the scene with only “minor cuts and bruises” after the vehicle left the road and suddenly “burst into flames.”
A statement from the police department on Facebook explained the incident complete with – get this- emojis. We’re guessing only because there were no injuries.
The driver explained that he was in a Ferrari and officers said they “detected a sense of damaged pride.” You think? He went on to explain, “I’ve only just got it. Picked it up an hour ago.” Man, that is a tough pill to swallow.
Police have said they don’t “believe excess speed was a contributory factor in this collision,” according to CNBC. Unfortunately, as you can probably guess, the car doesn’t seem to stand a chance of being salvaged. Hopefully, he made the most of it for that one hour. It’s said that there are less than 500 Scuds ever made. The F430 can move 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, with a top reported speed of 198 mph. Our condolences go to the driver for a heck of a loss but we’re glad he’s okay.
