Finding Your Engine’s Specific Output
Engine Power co-host, Pat Topolinski, tells you how you can find an engine’s specific output. That is how much horsepower an engine produces relative to its cubic-inch displacement. The higher the ratio, the better! The formula for figuring out the number is taking the measured horsepower and divide that by the engine’s cubic inch displacement. Pat also goes over different specific outputs based on fuel used.
