Ford Has Canceled Their Move To Mexico

American car giant, Ford, announced Tuesday that it’s cancelled plans to build a $1.6 billion dollar small vehicle plant in Mexico and will instead invest $700 million dollars to expand the existing Flat Rock plant in Michigan. In addition to the $700 million dollar investment, Ford also will be adding 700 new jobs at the Flat Rock plant that will focus on producing high-tech electrified and autonomous vehicles, plus the new Mustang and Lincoln Continental.

Ford has stated that the decision to cancel the Mexico plant was directly linked to Trump’s policy plans to lower taxes and regulations but also reiterated that they had no direct personal negotiations with Trump. What do you think of all of this?
