Ford is Auctioning Lunch with CEO Jim Farley for Charity
Ford CEO Jim Farley isn’t your typical suit-and-tie corporate executive for one of the biggest automakers in the world. Yes, he’s got a very strong business sense. But he’s also an accomplished race car driver in his own right where he’s been spotted at many vintage racing events behind the wheel of his Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra, his 1966 Ford GT40, and his 1978 Lola T298.
Recently the Pope Francis Center auctioned off the chance to ride shotgun with Farley on the track to raise money for the homeless of Detroit. Now, Farley is auctioning off lunch with him at Monterey Car Week on August 20th to benefit the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation.
On top of lunch with the CEO, the winner of the auction will receive VIP parking, passes for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, entry for two to the driver’s lounge, and the opportunity to ride shotgun with a pro driver while taking some big laps on the famous race track.
The current bid for lunch with Jim Farley is up to $25,000 and the auction will close on Monday, August 15th at 12:45 pm.
