Ford Mustang Crashes into Idaho Home: Driver Faces Multiple Charges, 1 Injured
In a scene that could be straight out of an action movie, a Ford Mustang recently turned an Idaho home into a makeshift drive-thru. The wild incident occurred on July 18 around 9 PM, when a white sixth-generation Ford Mustang 5.0 with blue stripes veered off the road and crashed through the wall of a house in Eagle, Idaho. Thankfully, no one was home at the time, but the event left a trail of chaos and a lot of unanswered questions.

The crash, which took place in the 100 block of E Aikens St, startled neighbors and drew immediate attention. According to witnesses, the driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving behind a teenage passenger and a loaded firearm next to the driver’s seat. The passenger, fortunately, only sustained minor injuries.

Eagle Police deputies arrived on the scene to find the unoccupied Mustang lodged into the house. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Matthew Jeffs from Emmett, was found by police about half a mile from the crash site. He was arrested and taken to a hospital for minor injuries before being booked into the Ada County Jail.
Jeffs now faces a slew of charges, including felony injury to a child, misdemeanor DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and carrying a concealed weapon under the influence of alcohol. His bond has been set at $50,000, and he is expected to appear in court on August 1 for a preliminary hearing.
