Ford Reveals Its Mustang Black Accent Package, and They Want You to Name It

The cat is out of the bag. Or in this case, the horse is out of the stable. Ford began hinting at the release of a special all-black feature in some cryptic social media posts, but it was not until June 1st when they announced what exactly the automaker was hinting at.

Ford announced the upcoming release of a Black Accent Package for the Mustang. According to their website, the package will include:

• 19″ x 8.5″ Ebony-black painted aluminum wheels
• Black front and rear badges
• Blade decklid spoiler
• Painted roof

More black accent items are expected to be added to the package in the future.

Ford is also reaching out to its fans to help decide the official name for the Mustang Black Accent Package. If you’ve got an interesting title, you can submit it on the Ford website here. If your suggestion is chosen, the automaker will contact you directly.

Some fans believe that the Black Accent Package may be one of the final additions to the current edition of the Mustang before the next-generation model is rumored to launch in April 2023.
