PowerNation this week – lot’s of cool cars and great tech! Katie features a very sexy 1969 Camaro that’s a full custom build from One Off Rod & Custom. Katie’s guests are the designer Dan Maffett and one of the builders Luke Haman. Dan will talk about the design process for the owner then Luke will share the build details of this first-gen Camaro, including dropping in an LS3 that makes 650 horsepower that’s backed up by an American Powertrain Magnum T56 transmission. Having touched every body panel and part, next was color. One Off Rod & Custom owner Gary Corkell sprayed the car with a Mercedes “Mond Silver” color and accented it with a very subtle shot of ghost flames. Completing the custom build is the classic Houndstooth interior. It’s one very solid Camaro! Plus this week Summit Racing’s tech expert Mike Downs has a tip on how to get more power easily.
