Gas Prices Could Drop Under $2 By Fall

In just the past five weeks alone, the average price for a gallon of gas has dropped 15 cents. Now, AAA is predicting they may fall even farther by fall. The lower prices are thanks to lower crude oil costs, reduced demand and a switch to less expensive winter blend fuels.

At the time of the article, the cheapest gas in the country is in Louisiana, where a gallon goes for an average of $2.22.

AAA expects the national average to hit $2.40 in the next few weeks which is about 20 cents less than the current price. If you live in southern and southeastern states you could possibly even see prices below $2.00!
