Hard Charger Sells for $200,000 at Mecum
Detroit Muscle’s restomod Hard Charger was on the auction block at Mecum Auctions’ event in Dallas today and boy did it impress. Marked as a no reserve listing, this car was bound to draw attention. Bidding opened at $100,000, stalled around the $160,000 mark, but then surged to the finish line at $200,000.
Taking over 3 years to complete, Detroit Muscle restored, repainted and supercharged this 1969 Dodge Charger, turning it into the show worthy Hard Charger. Along the way, a supercharged Hellcrate engine was dropped in to give this shiny black beauty over 700 HP of raw power.
“I’m completely blown away by the $200,000 hammer price on our Charger!” said Detroit Muscle co-host Marc Christ. “All of our hard work paid off big time, and I can’t think of a better way to send Hard Charger off to its new home.”
To Hard Charger’s new owner, all we can say is enjoy! This car has always been a head turner in the PowerNation studios.
