Has This MIT Student Changed The Transmission Game?!

Could this new high-performance, clutch-less transmission be the future of hypercars? MIT student Dan Dorsch created the hybrid transmission and it recently won him the Lemelson-MIT “Drive It!” award. The design hasn’t undergone real world testing yet but it has moved past the concept stage into developing a full-fledged transmission based on the model.
