Hennessey Answers Back To The Demon

Hennessey has come back with an answer to the Demon. They’re introducing “The Exorcist” and it’s a 1,000 horsepower ZL1 Camaro. Hennessey Performance based the car on the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 but did major upgrades to the LT4 V8 engine. They increased it to 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb.-ft. of torque.

They accomplished that with a bigger supercharger and intercooler system along with ported factory cylinder heads, custom engine management calibration, and several other changes. The Exorcist is available in either a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. Hennessey reports the car will hit 0-60mph in under 3 seconds and run the quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds. Company founder and President, John Hennessey, says it’s much more than a quarter mile car. It’s a car that can perform just as well on a road course, drag strip, or out on the streets.

You can find The Exorcist, brand new, from Hennessey and also order directly from Chevy dealers. If you already own a ZL1 Camaro, you can send your vehicle to Hennessey for the conversion. To upgrade both the engine and graphics it’ll run you around $55,000. You can add other packages like the drag package or road race option.
