Honda Is Recalling 120,000 CR-Vs
There’s a new airbag recall going on and it’s finally not Takata-related. The latest recall is for the 2019 Honda CR-V for airbags potentially popping open on the driver at any minute. The automaker is recalling 118,598 CR-Vs from the 2019 model year for the issue.
According to the recall documents, there is a potential for airbags in the steering wheels to randomly deploy and the potential for them to be disabled altogether. Which either way causes issues. As of this month, Honda has received 41 warranty claims, 20 field reports, three reports of injuries, no fatalities and no reports of crashes resulting from the problem. Honda is planning to notify owners somewhere around July 8.
