Even Burt Reynolds doesn’t just “get the girl”. He had to work at it to get co-star Sally Fields to even go to dinner with him!

In his sitdown interview with PowerBlock, Reynolds tells us how he had to talk the casting crew into hiring Sally Fields, telling them “talent is sexy” when they said she wasn’t inherently sexy enough for the role. And he says he fell in love with her right there on set. Every day he would talk to her in the Trans Am, trying to get her to go out with him. And one day he finally wore her out!
