Hundreds Of Jeep Drivers Honor School Shooting Hero
Jeep owners are a special group. After another school shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch just outside of Denver, CO, Kendrick Castillo is being hailed as a hero for his efforts in subduing the gunman. Castillo was killed saving the lives of his fellow students. Now, the Jeep community learned that Castillo was a Jeep fan and planned a special procession in Castillo’s honor.
CBS Denver reports Castillo was the proud owner of a Forest Green XJ with Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK wheels, a lift kit, and aftermarket headlights.
The Jeep community in Denver got word of Castillo’s enthusiasm for them and in hopes of honoring one of their own, organized a Jeep procession. At the time of the article, at least 600 Jeep drivers are involved.
And while this is a tragedy, it is amazing what the Jeep community is capable of. Last year another story of Jeepers coming together to help with destruction after Hurricane Michael. They sure are a group that takes care of their own.
