Incredible Crashes For Three Top Fuel NHRA Drivers, All Miraculously Walked Away
You hate to see a crash of any degree while racing, but to see three crashes this nasty it’s a miracle all three drivers walked away.
The Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway was action-packed this weekend. First, Top Fuel driver Leah Pruett had her 2020 Dragster go airborne during the second round of elimination. Pruett was able to exit the car under her own power.
It was also a rough weekend for Pro Stock driver Kenny Delco. As he crossed the center line he made contact with the wall and rolled before coming to a rest. When his parachute deployed, it saw his car flip a few more times before coming to a rest. Delco exited the car under his own power during the first round of eliminations.
Alexis DeJoria was the third accident of the weekend and blew the body off her Funny Car before walking away with the round win during eliminations.
If anything positive comes from this series of videos and race weekend, it’s that NHRA safety has come a long way.
