Jaguar’s F-Type 4-Cylinder Is Trying To Live Up To The V8
Obviously, the supercharged V8 Jaguar F-Type is the ultimate exhaust sound. But the 4-cylnder version is making a pretty good attempt at keeping up. For the 2018 model year, Jaguar will have an F-Type equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder available, according to MotorTrend.
For being a 4-cylinder it puts out quite a bit of power. Although it doesn’t produce the 550 horsepower that the F-Type R does, it can crank out 296 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque with an 8-speed automatic. So if you’re willing to give up a little bit of power but still want the luxury this may be something to look into since it’s significantly cheaper than the F-Type R. It’ll only run you about $60,000. How do you feel about the economical F-Type?
