With the perfect storm caused by a recent increase in production in Saudi Arabia and Russia and the dramatic decrease in demand trying to control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) globally, gas prices have plummeted.
A Spur 7 BP station in London, KY completely sold out of gas and has no idea when it will be able to re-open. While the station is reportedly known for low fuel prices, this was low even for them.
GasBuddy.com reports that nationally gas it at an average of just $2.20 per gallon while experts from AAA say prices could drop to $1.50 or less in the coming weeks.
