Farewell Thunder: The Last Call Dodge Durango SRT 392 Will Bear the Final Roar of the HEMI V-8
In 2023, the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger had one of the biggest farewell parties the auto industry has ever seen with their tantalizing line of limited-edition “Last Call” models. Now the Dodge Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI is stepping into the spotlight to officially close out the final chapter of the HEMI V-8’s production for the Dodge Durango.
As part of Dodge’s Brotherhood of Muscle, production for the V-8 HEMI-powered Dodge Durango will come to a close by the end of 2024. That includes the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, the most powerful factory-made SUV that houses a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 that is capable of producing 710 horsepower, as well as models powered by the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that can generate 395 horsepower.
“Just as we did with the Dodge Charger and Challenger, it’s time to celebrate the V-8 HEMI engine that has powered Dodge domination of the performance SUV segment,” says Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO in a press release. “Special-edition ‘Last Call’ models of the Durango will roll out during 2024 as we honor the most powerful SUV ever.”
Customers can expect details on more 2025 model-year Dodge Durango “Last Call” special-edition models, including SUVs based on the Durango SRT Hellcat throughout the remainder of 2024.
