Man Paid $6,000 To Have ‘MCLAREN’ Colorado License Plate

People will do a lot to get a custom vanity plate, apparently. At a charity auction in Parker, Colorado almost $24,000 was raised for charity disability programs by selling the rights to more than two dozen personalized license plates.

A Colorado resident reportedly paid $6,000 for the rights to a vanity plate reading “MCLAREN.” This was the most expensive one sold at the auction.

There were five other custom automaker/model plates sold at the event including “C8,” “M3,” “911,” and “BENTLEY”. Other automotive-related/novelty plates sold include:
