Man Saved By New Orleans Saints Player After SUV Falls From Parking Garage

Talk about being in the right place at the right time. 25-year-old Mitchell Loewen is the defensive lineman for the New Orleans Saints football team and happened to be part of a group of bystanders that helped rescue a man who became trapped in his Mercedes G-Class after he accidentally drove it over the edge of a parking garage.

Reports say Loewen was eating brunch with his family when he heard the crash. It turned out to be a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen that had fallen from the fourth floor of the parking garage down the street.

Jalopnik reports Loewen was one of the first to get to the vehicle and check on the driver, who was trapped in the front seat, but responsive.

After getting the vehicle flipped over they realized trying to remove the man was too dangerous and waited for paramedics to arrive. The man is expected to recover but the incident is still under investigation.
