The 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger Get Special-Edition Mopar Models Before Disappearing For Good
If the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger are having a going-away party before transitioning over to fully-electric powertrains in 2024, you can bet your lucky stars that Mopar is invited to take part in the fun!
Mopar has forever been one of the leading customization programs with Dodge’s muscle cars. This is why Stellantis announced that will be releasing a very special, and very limited Mopar edition for the 2023 Challenger and Charger.
“Our iconic two-door and four-door muscle cars from Dodge are perfect vehicles to continue our annual tradition of offering exclusive, performance-oriented, low-volume packages of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories from the Mopar Custom Shop,” says Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America in a press release. “With striking matte black and Mopar Blue accents, both Mopar ‘23 models will turn heads and be sought after by performance enthusiasts and collectors alike.”
These models are based on the Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Widebody cars that come equipped with a healthy amount of interior, exterior, and performance upgrades to satisfy even the most loyal of mopar fans.

What Is Included In The ’23 Mopar Models?
For the exterior, both the Challenger and Charger will come in Pitch Black Clear Coat with matte-black graphics and Mopar Blue tracer stripes running along the hood, roof, and decklid. They will also feature a bespoke Mopar Blue grille badge, Mopar Blue brake calipers, forged carbon-black wheels, Mopar valve stem caps, and a carbon-fiber decklid spoiler.
The Standard Widebody Package for both 2023 Mopar models include:
- 20-by-11-inch forged-aluminum wheels with Carbon Black finish
- Body-color fender flares that add an extra 3.5 inches over a set of Pierelli P Zero 305/35ZR20 performance tires
- SRT-tuned Widebody competition suspension system and Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping
The interior for both cars will include:
- Serialized Mopar instrument-panel badge
- Alpine Audio Group
- Carbon Suede Interior Package with real carbon fiber interior accents and suede headliner
- The Plus Package includes:
- Scat Pack logos on backs of black Nappa/Alcantara material combination seats
- Heated, flat-bottom and leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Power tilt/telescoping steering column
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Premium stitched dashboard panel
- Bright pedals
- Mopar locking lug nuts
Now, both the interior and exterior sound exciting, but what about what’s under the hood? No worries. Because this is Mopar, you can take comfort in knowing that these cars intend on driving as well as they look as they will feature a 392 HEMI V-8 engine that generates 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, as well a Tremec six-speed manual transmission for the ’23 Challenger. There is also the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission which comes as standard on the ’23 Charger and optional on the Challenger.
Both of these cars will also come with six-piston front brake calipers, as well as four-pistons in the rear in the iconic Mopar Blue to deliver top-shelf stopping power.
How Many Units Are Available?
Because 2023 marks the final year for the HEMI V8 Challengers and Chargers that we’ve loved over the years, these cars will have a very-limited run of only 200 available units for the U.S. and Canada. This Mopar ’23 Special Edition Package comes with an $3,995 price tag on top of the Challenger and Charger’s existing MSRP.
Production for the Mopar-edition ’23 Dodge Challenger and Charger is expected to begin in September 2023, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in September 2023.
