Where Are The Naughty and Nice Drivers?
As joyful as the holidays are, they can also be very stressful. You have to purchase gifts for family and friends, plane tickets to visit family, food for guests, hang up the lights, get a tree, clean up the pine needles in your house, etc, etc, etc. A lot of that stress can manifest into road rage and aggressive driving, which ultimately results in you landing on the naughty list.
GasBuddy was able to examine over 8 million drives through data gathered by its optional, opt-in Drives Feature that provides drivers assessments of their driving habits to improve fuel efficiency and on-road behavior, including the number of events involving speeding, hard braking, and fast acceleration.
Below are the results for the Top 10 Cities with the Most Aggressive and Least Aggressive Holiday Drivers based on each city’s average percentage in events involving fast acceleration, hard braking, and speeding.

“Driving during the holiday season can be stressful, but it’s important to remember to stay calm and courteous on the road,” says Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Additionally, aggressive driving can negatively impact fuel efficiency, causing drivers to waste money that could be spent on holiday celebrations or gifts for loved ones.”
