New Ford Electric ‘Mustang-Inspired’ SUV To Come With 2 Years Of Charging
Earlier this year, Ford announced its first long-range electric vehicle would have a 370-mile range. The automaker has now announced that the upcoming electric “Mustang-inspired” SUV will come with two years of complimentary charging at a network of over 12,000 stations across North America.
The network is a collaboration with Volkswagen-owned Electrify America that are good for 80 percent fill-up in 45 minutes. A version of “free” public charging has become a common incentive included from automakers like Tesla and Nissan.
There will be additional locations added to Ford’s program, which can be used to pay after the two-year period is up.
Ford’s EV SUV is expected to debut at the L.A. Auto Show next month with deliveries as soon as next year.
