Nissan Requesting Workers Take Off 2 Unpaid Says As US Sales Fall
Sales are down and Nissan Motor Co. is making all U.S. employees take two days off unpaid as a result. Through November of this year, the automaker’s sale are down 7.8 percent.
It’s reported that Nissan is requiring all 21,000 U.S. workers to take Jan. 2 and 3 off, which sounds like a deal. However, the days off will be without compensation.
Nissan is hoping this strategy will improve business performance and competitiveness.
