Nissan Unveils the Nissan Z GT4 at SEMA 2022
SEMA 2022 has been filled with excitement with all of the new and upcoming releases from some of the biggest brands in the auto industry. One of the more eye-catching public debuts to hit the floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center has been the Nissan Z GT4.
Based on the new Nissan Z sports car, the Nissan Z GT4 checks off all of the boxes, and more, that any racing enthusiast looks for in a race car. In a press release, Nissan describes the features of the car, “a unique livery that ties in past vintage racing heritage with modern design.”
Some of those features include Nissan’s exclusive number “23” on the hood in reference to its racing days back in the 1970’s, a vibrant Nissan/NISMO red-and-black color scheme, new Z logos on the rear quarter panel serving as a modern interpretation of the classic 240Z and Fairlady Z badging, and more!
The Nissan Z GT4 will be available to racing teams in the US and Japan for the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series and the Super Taikyu series, with orders beginning in mid-2023 and deliveries in 2024.
“The SEMA Show is an ideal place to debut our Z GT4 to racers, enthusiasts and the entire industry,” says Michael Carcamo, global program director, sports cars, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. “We are in the throes of preparing for the 2023 racing season – testing here locally this past weekend – and we look forward to continuing to talk with teams and continue to establish the Z as a force to be reckoned with on tracks around the world.”
