Parents Owe $10,000 After Toddler Scratches 10 New Audis In Showroom
These parents are left with quite a bill after their 3-year-old daughter scratched pictures into the paintwork of 10 brand-new Audi cars while they were visiting the dealership.
After the parents discovered their toddler had taken a stone and drawn into the paint of 10 new cars, the dealership initially sued the father $28,000 saying that was an estimate and could increase based on further evaluation of the damage done. The cars would have to be sold as used vehicles at significant markdowns, the dealership explained.
The father rejected the number saying it was too high and they eventually settled on $10,000.
