A lot of wood has been going through windshields this month. Like the driver that rear-ended a log truck and was lucky to walk away. Now this Florida driver gets their winshield sliced like it’s butter by a flying piece of plywood.
It happened on I-95 in Brevard County, Florida, when a 35-year-old woman was driving her 2016 Honda Accord behind a 2006 Chevy pickup that was hauling sheets of plywood. And although the plywood was strapped down, it clearly wasn’t secured well enough, and one sheet broke free and sailed off behind the truck, right through the center of the Honda’s windshield, narrowly missing the driver. She was lucky enough to stay relatiely calm and pull over, sustaining only had minor injuries. And the truck driver was ticketed for failing to properly secure his load.
