Police Officer Chased A Runaway Vehicle On Foot

This is a crazy story. A Sherriff’s department in South Carolina was alerted that a truck was being driven erratically through the town. So when it passed by a narcotics officer he followed in pursuit. He realized the driver was elderly and appeared to be having a medical emergency so he go out and chased the truck on foot when it slowed down to a roll. After being able to hop in the passenger door, he thought the man was dead and immediately called for an ambulance. He performed CPR until help arrived where they reported a possible opioid overdose. The driver of the truck got lucky that the officer was able to get control of the situation.
